I have had this model for several years. The comments say it is too small for even a small bedroom, but the specs say it;d turn the air over completely in such a space several times an hour (to my recollection only). Whatever that is, it has been enough to keep me allergy free in an apartment with three indoor cats...instant results, no more sneezing in my bedroom once plugged in. I live in the city at a major intersection, whenever I wash prefilter a ton of dirt comes out, dirt that would be in my lungs. Probably a bigger model would be even better...the way to decide is check out the recommendations for minimum air turnover per hour for your room size (of course). When I purchased this I remember it was about the recommended minimum. The experts say it isn't big enought give the reason that it is 10x smaller than larger models...that isn;t the data that we;d need in order to decide if it is TOO small...perhaps those models for example are overkilll.
