Well now, let me tell you a little about my respiratory issues...I have are none. I'm a former cyclist, and can breath almost anything as long as there's O2 to be had. My pulmonary function tests rate me next to a tree. I can almost make oxygen out of CO2. My allergies, on the other hand, are a different story. Mold, dust, furnace fumes, dander, you name it and I've reacted to it. Not in the hypochondriac type way, the non-stop runny nose, itchy-watery eyes, and headaches that last for days type reaction. You, get the idea. Well, once I took my job in Montana, the summer was GREAT. Nice pollution free dry air. Even the local pollens didn't bother me. But, once winter hit and the fuel oil furnace turned on. My life became one big runny nose! Professionally this is called Vasomotor Rhinitis. Winter was looking bad for me.My friends, Mark and Jessie, have a grand-daughter with BAD allergies. So, I was looking for a whole-house air purifier like the one in their home. It's awesome. Allergy Buyers Club sells the unit that they have, so I started there. Well, needless to say, I compared their unit to the Airgle 750. The Airgle 750 was less xpensive and had ALL the options I was looking for. So, I bought it. Now that the story part is done, here's the review: he GOOD: quiet, energy efficient, excellent air-cleaning capabilities, easy to clean and replace filters, and, did I mention, less expensive than other units. The Over-all: After running the unit for 4 hours, YES, 4 hours, my nose stopped swelling shut, my eyes stopped running, and I slept through the night without one disruption to blow my nose or use my allergy meds. And, I have not had a bad nights sleep since turning on this machine. Also, I am a musician with a grand piano. Normally, I keep the instrument closed & covered when not practicing. But, I could actually see dust settle on the piano when open. Now, I dust the house once every week, instead of every-other-day. As a healthcare provider, sleep is on the top of my list for patient well being. Sleep apnea, snoring, reactive airway disease, or anything that stops your normal healthy breathing pattern increases your risk of heart attack, exacerbates CHF and COPD. I now recommend this purifier to my patients.
