I bought this unit about 2 years ago. And it is one purchase that I have never regretted. I researched the heck out of air purifiers and this one is by far the best value you can buy. It's HEPA filter is unmatched in home applications. Most of the time I keep the unit in my bedroom & it is set on #1, which is so quite that it has never bothered my sleep. And I am a light sleeper. When I am in another room and notice those fine dust particles floating in the air when the sunlight shines, I just wheel the unit into that room and leave it run on setting #3. I do use higher settings if I'm going out of the house during the day. And I can really tell a difference in whatever room the unit is running in. I do have COPD and I do believe that this unit is helping to increase the quality of my home's interior air. I recommended this unit to my friend (who bought the regular size one) and she loves her's too. She burns a woodstove over winter & she can not believe how much of a difference the IQAir unit makes in her home. I do suggest that you buy the Course Dust Pre-Filters right away because they will save you money in the long run.
